SelectPHONE http://www.infousa.com/homesite/index.html for example is a product that has a set of two CDs (East and West) with every list phone number in the US on them and another version of 5 CDs (5 regions) Direct Link to Product with more detailed info and the ability to go up and down streets. The latter is better to locate which half of the US someone is in (2 places to look) and the latter for detailed searching once the region is known. The NORTHEAST Region contains: CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, PA, RI & VT. The above CDs are often available in Libraries. Folks our age, still living, no matter how much they moved around in the past have probably settled somewhere (resting up!) and have a telephone. As a test I just took a time-out to see if I could find Leroy Oliver Harrison. I learned at the 25the Reunion that he was in the Military in Japan and had married there. The other day I heard that he was in WA. I put in some 4 year old CDs and in 3-4 minutes came up with L O Harrison & Noriko in Spanaway, WA. [STATUS UPDATE: Rode Da Beast to Spanaway but the Harrisons had moved...D"oh! Moved to Graham, WA 98338. No address. Phone number still good. Vacation?] FOUND! It is not always so easy but it is far far easier than it used to be, especially with an uncommon name. The yearbook is essential for full names and initials. One gets a good feeling of accomplishment in locating someone. At first it will be few looking for many but as more and more are found...it becomes many looking for fewer and fewer. We can do it! What we need is someone who can put in a lot of time and honcho this critical project. We will supply a set of CDs and an MCI phone card.
